Welcome to National Spiritual Day

22 September

Celebrating spiritual values

Join us to celebrate what it means to be a spiritual being living in a physical body on our earth plane.

National Spiritual Day is a celebration dedicated to promoting connection, community, inclusivity, curiosity, acceptance, and a peaceful future. It serves as a day for people to come together and connect at a deeper level with family, friends, and others in their community.

National Spiritual Day is brought to you by Spiritualism New Zealand, a national body that brings together those who identify as Spiritualists and promotes an understanding of the principles of Spiritualism. Our 2026 focus, Building Spiritual Community, is about exploring the aspects of community – leading, contributing, maintaining harmony, belonging, spiritual spaces, traditions, and celebrations.

Focus

Over the next year, we’ll dive into the components of Building Spiritual Community including leading, contributing, maintaining harmony, belonging, spiritual spaces, traditions, and celebrations.

Today’s not just a day off work for ANZAC Day, it's a day to remember more than history — to remember spirit. We pause for the voices that no longer speak, yet still echo in the wind, in the quiet dawn, in the space between heartbeats. There is something sacred in that silence… something that calls us back to who we are, and to each other.Belonging is not just about where we stand, but who we carry with us. Today, we carry courage, sacrifice, grief, and love — woven together like threads of an unseen tapestry that stretches across generations. We belong not only to the present, but to the past that shaped us and the future we are shaping together. In this moment of remembrance, there is a gentle invitation: to soften, to feel, to honour. To recognise that the same life force that carried them through unimaginable darkness still lives within us. Their strength is not gone — it has simply changed form.May we walk a little more consciously today.May we hold one another a little closer.May we remember that even in loss, there is connection… and even in silence, there is meaning.Lest we forget 🌺 ...
