Welcome to National Spiritual Day

22 September

Celebrating spiritual values

Join us to celebrate what it means to be a spiritual being living in a physical body on our earth plane.

National Spiritual Day is a celebration dedicated to promoting connection, community, inclusivity, curiosity, acceptance, and a peaceful future. It serves as a day for people to come together and connect at a deeper level with family, friends, and others in their community.

National Spiritual Day is brought to you by Spiritualism New Zealand, a national body that brings together those who identify as Spiritualists and promotes an understanding of the principles of Spiritualism. In 2024 our focus will be on celebrating the legitimisation of Spiritualism in New Zealand and the people involved in the spiritual movement in the last 100 years. In future years we will have a different focus.

Focus 100

One hundred years ago an Act was passed to protect Spiritualists from being prosecuted for alleged fortune-telling under the New Zealand equivalent of the archaic Witchcraft Act operating in Britain.
